Other sports: Football; basketball

I got my start in sports: playing tee-ball and soccer when I was three years old. I also played youth basketball and football.

I wish I could play: lacrosse.

Baseball highlights: two-time letterwinner and two-year starter in left field … co-captain  as a senior … team s Most Improved Player as a junior ... led Warriors to berth in 2009 Summer State semifinals where they lost to eventual state champion Arrowhead 14-10 … he was 2-for-6 (.333) with three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in the two state tournament games.

2009 stats: Batted .310 (27-for-87) with 20 runs scored, three doubles, one triple and 13 RBI … five stolen bases, 12 walks, three HBPs, one sacrifice … recorded .412 on-base percentage … defense stats: 33 putouts, two assists, one error.

2009 team stats: 24-11 overall, 14-7 (first place) Greater Metro Conference South Division.

Other sports highlights: two-time letterwinner and two-year starter at wide receiver/tight end … team captain as a freshman and sophomore and a game captain as a senior … received Heat of the Team award … played basketball at guard as a freshman and sophomore.

This and that: member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society … member of High Honor Roll every semester … youth baseball coach … worked at youth baseball, football and basketball camps.

I like playing baseball because: of being with the boys and taking the field.

Team bonding moments: going to Culver s for custard after games.

Baseball superstitions: wears same wristband on same arm in same spot each game … jumps over foul line on way onto field and touches foul line on way off the field.
