Position: Pitcher/Outfield

I got my start in sports: playing tee-ball in kindergarten. I also played basketball, football and soccer in youth sports.

Baseball highlights: Pirates won 2009 WIAA Division 1 state championship with 26-5 record, including an 18-4 record and second-place finish in the Fox River Classic Conference … Area Player of the Year and conference Co-Player of Year … second-team all-district as a pitcher … first-team all-league pitcher and second team all-league as an outfielder … first-team all-league and all-area junior year as a pitcher.

2009 stats: Batted .323 (31-for-96) with 22 runs scored, 10 doubles, one home run and 21 RBI … drew 23 walks with two hit by pitches and was 3-for-3 in stolen bases … had .455 on-base percentage and .458 slugging percentage … pitching stats: 11-2 record with 1.35 ERA in 16 appearances, including 13 starts, covering 73 1/3 innings with 80 strikeouts and 40 walks … tossed eight complete games, with two shutouts.

This and that: member of Honor Roll all four years of high school … member of Spanish Club … hobbies include golfing ... earned 2009 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic "Tim Nygaard Most Valuable Player" award.

Team bonding moments: spring break trip to St. Louis during preseason; team dinners during baseball playoffs; winning state title.

Baseball superstition: wore long sleeves for every game and practice. When we kept winning, I couldn t stop.

I like playing baseball because: it is a team sport where you depend on everybody to come through and anyone can on any given day.

Post-high school plans: attend UW-Oshkosh to study Physics and play baseball.

Did you know? Sean helped the Pirates baseball team become the first program in school history to play in a state championship game.
