Baseball highlights: two-year letterwinner and starting left fielder for Crusaders, who won the 2009 WIAA Division 2 state championship with a 25-4 record … Edgewood also shared Badger South Conference title with a 10-2 record … earned All-Badger South Conference and All-City honorable mention honors as a senior.

2009 stats: Batted .409 (27-for-66) with four doubles, 22 runs scored and 18 RBI … had .563 on-base percentage.

This and that: Graduated with honors … member of Honor Roll throughout high school … performed 200 hours of community service for Edgewood High School.

Team bonding moment: We had a team meeting after we lost to Milton in our final regular season game and had to share the conference title. Led by the seniors, we talked about our differences and the adversity we had during the season. The meeting pulled everyone together. We won the rest of our games and the state title.

Baseball superstitions: Beginning my junior year, I did everything with Nick Hughes, our starting catcher. We led pre-game stretches. I kept my equipment by his. We warmed up together and did everything together.
