I got my start in sports: playing tee-ball when I was four years old.

I wish I could still play: hockey; soccer.

Baseball highlights: four-year starter at shortstop and three-year starter at pitcher … Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association honorable mention all-state at shortstop as a senior … also earned All-District and All-Central Wisconsin 10 Conference first-team honors and named team s Most Valuable Player as a senior … second-team all-conference as a junior … earned team s Batting Average award as a junior and senior.

2009 stats: Started all 29 games and batted .525 with 11 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 34 runs scored, 32 RBI, 18 walks and 25 stolen bases … pitching stats: 6-0 with 3.57 ERA in 43 1/3 innings with 60 strikeouts, 23 walks and three complete games.

2009 team highlights: Mustangs won WIAA Division 4 state championship with 27-2 record and shared conference title with 17-1 record.

Other sports highlights: three-time letterwinner in football at tight end … three-time letterwinner in basketball as a forward and center … earned all-conference honorable mention honors in basketball as a senior.

Team bonding moments: attended a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game at Fox Cities Stadium before playing there at state … will be honored at a Milwaukee Brewers game this summer.

Baseball superstitions: We say a prayer before every game and never touch the white foul lines when we run on and off the field.

I like playing baseball because: of the excitement of everybody working together and making the tough plays when we need them.

Post-high school plans: attend Lakeland College to study liberal arts and play baseball and possibly football.

Did you know? Cody played trumpet in the school s concert band, marching band and pep band for three years and also coached Little League baseball.
