I got my start in sports: playing baseball as soon as I could walk. With an older brother into sports and a dad, who was a coach, I ve always been around sports.
I wish I could play: lacrosse.
Baseball highlights: Four-time letterwinner and four-year starter for Blue Devils … All-Rock Valley Conference outfielder as a freshman and three-time all-conference catcher last three years … all-district as a junior … 2009 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association second team all-state.
2009 stats: Blue Devils finished 19-5 overall, 13-3 and co-champions of Rock Valley North with Edgerton at 13-3 … as a senior, batted .457 with team-high 30 runs scored and nine doubles … also had 22 RBI, was 19-of-19 in stolen bases and drew 18 walks … led team with .614 slugging percentage and .587 on-base percentage … hit. 538 with .636 on-base percentage in league play.
Other sports highlights: Four-time letterwinner in football … played defensive tackle as a freshman and sophomore, three-year starter at running back and two-year starter at linebacker … Two-way all-conference pick at RB and LB as a junior and earned Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-state honorable mention at LB as a junior … as a senior, earned all-conference honors at RB and LB and all-district honors at LB … 2008 football co-captain.
