Track and Field Honors: Qualified for the WIAA State Meet in the 800-meter run as a junior … Finished first in the 400 and 800 runs at the South Central Conference meet as a junior … Also takes part in the long jump.

Favorite Sport: “Basketball. It is the biggest sport in my family. Our whole family played basketball. My father, David, was my coach from fourth through eighth grade. Since he passed away, it’s something I can hold on to. He died in January of my freshmen year.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “You get to meet so many people. It’s kind of like your family. When you are a freshman, you get to hang around with seniors. And then when you are a senior, you get to meet some of the freshmen. You also get to know the girls from other schools.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “The night I scored my 1,000th point and the night we won the conference championship were both highlights. I scored my 1,000th point my junior year against Wisconsin Dells. It was the same date my sister, Emily, scored her 1,000th point, but it was five years apart. This year, we beat Wisconsin Dells in our last game to seal the conference title.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “They told me to do whatever makes me happy. There were times when my schedule conflicted with things, but they were very understanding about me playing AAU basketball and things like that.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “You meet so many people. And with the different sports, you are able to accomplish a lot of things. The team aspect of sports is also important as it helps make your school look better.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “You don’t get much time between sports. In track, you miss a lot of school so you have to catch up on your homework. Same thing in basketball. Trying to balance everything can be a challenge.”

Favorite Opponent: Wisconsin Dells.

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin, Duke.

Favorite Professional Team: Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.60.

College Plans: I will be attending Ripon College to play basketball. I am hoping to get into the pre-dentistry program.

Activities Outside of Sports: National Honor Society, Yearbook, counselor for youth basketball camps in Westfield Area School District.

I Find it Relaxing to: “Watch television and snack out on stuff you are not supposed to eat.”

Favorite TV show: One Tree Hill

Favorite Movie: Coach Carter
