Favorite Sport: “I like softball and basketball probably the same. I like softball in the summer because it is much more competitive. I compete for the Wisconsin Bandits travel team. You see better teams and better pitching, which will help prepare me for college.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “I think it’s the fact that you are surrounded by all your peers. You can experience the moments of high school sports with your friends. You get to share in the memories and I also get to compete with my sister (Taylor), which is very special for me.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “Playing against Eau Claire North in the sectionals my junior year. Coming out for the game, we saw all the fans for Eau Claire North and then turned around and saw all the fans from Marshfield. There were fans everywhere from both teams. The atmosphere was awesome and we won the game to get to the state tournament.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “My basketball coach, Heidi Michaelis, always gives me good advice. She tells me to hold my head up and to be a leader. She likes to tell me to focus on the positives. I’ve learned so much from her. She gives us a quote every day. She gets me through the season with her support and positive attitude.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “I like it because it always keeps me busy and I never have down time. After school, I always look forward to my practices. I just love being busy and not being lazy and just sitting around. That’s just who I am as a person. I have to do something all the time.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Definitely, juggling all the time for athletics with school. There are also times I get sore and wish I could rest my body. For me, it’s basically juggling school and sports. It gets tough for me with all my AP classes, but I do manage to get it done.”
