Catholic Memorial finally knocked powerhouse Marquette off its stronghold in the boys coaches poll this week after knocking the Hilltoppers out of the semifinals of the Middleton Invite Saturday. The Crusaders overcame a nine-point deficit in the first set against Marquette before rallying to win 27-25, 25-16 and swept No. 6 Franklin in the final to win the invite and earn this week's top ranking.

Nicolet smoked the competition at the Shorewood Invite to move up one spot to No. 3 this week, while Westosha Central and Waukesha West flipped positions at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively. Kettle Moraine entered at No. 10 this week, dropping Middleton back into Honorable Mention status after th Cardinals failed to advance out of pool play Saturday.
