Favorite Sport: “Definitely basketball. I have enjoyed the most success in basketball ever since I started for the varsity team as a sophomore. I’ve played basketball my entire life and my father has coached me since first grade.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “Being with my friends 24/7. Also, playing with the same group of guys since we started elementary school.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “Having 17 points in the regional finals against Barneveld my sophomore year. After that game, my confidence grew to the point where I’ve been able to score pretty consistently ever since. I played with a lot of good players my sophomore season.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “The best advice I’ve received is from coach Koopman and it’s to not wear my emotions on my sleeve. When opponents can see the emotion of a point guard, that can really change the way your team plays.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “The best part about playing three sports is there is no off season for me, including the summer. I’m always working out and competing. It keeps me in shape the entire year.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Definitely the physical toll it takes on you. There is a lot of soreness that comes with it, but it definitely pays off in the end.”

Favorite Opponent: “In football, it is definitely Bangor. They have been ranked in the state the last couple of years. They play hard-nosed football and that is what I love. In basketball, it’s probably Royall. That’s mainly because I am very good friends with some of the guys on the Royall team. It’s always fun to go to Elroy or have them come to our place and play.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers, Duke Blue Devils.

Favorite Professional Teams: Los Angeles Lakers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.75.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Definitely be Logan Johnson of Barneveld. I competed against him my sophomore year in basketball in the regional final and was very impressed with how he played. I learned a lot from watching him.”

College Plans: “I am undecided right now, but I have been accepted to both La Crosse and Winona State. I am probably going to pursue something in business. If I decide to play a sport, it will probably be basketball.”

Activities Outside of Sports: National Honor Society, Spanish Club, traveled to Europe last summer with Spanish Club and will travel to Costa Rica this upcoming summer, Future Business Leaders of America officer, H Club (for letter winners).
