Favorite Sport: “Soccer would be my favorite. My best strength is my speed, and I get into the open field in soccer and am able to use my speed a lot more than I am in the other sports.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “Participating in three sports, I got to play with a variety of people. I got to know each and every one of them. The people I played with became my friends throughout high school. You develop a tight group of friends through sports.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “Starting out a freshman, I didn’t talk much and wasn’t that confident in myself. All of my coaches told me to have confidence in myself and to keep pushing myself and work hard.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “I would have to say last year when we beat Appleton North to go to state for soccer. We lost to them in conference play, but we were ready to go in the sectional final and came out with a 3-1 victory.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “I think each of the sports does something different for you. You learn a different lesson through each and every one of them. In volleyball, you work on a lot of communication and working with your teammates. In basketball, you use a lot of plays so you have to work through that with your teammates. In soccer, there is a lot of communication but there is also a bigger space to play in so you have to know what you’re doing ahead of time.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “The hardest part is sometimes you come home and you are very tired and then at times have to study or do your homework. At other times on the weekends, you at times have to stay home to study while your friends go out and do some thing. But I think it’s so worth it.”

Favorite Opponents: “It’s different for each sport I play, in soccer it’s definitely Appleton North. We are so equally talented. Everyone contributes for each of the teams so it’s not like there is one superstar. In volleyball, I’d have to go with Fond du Lac. In basketball, probably Kimberly.”

Favorite College Team: Duke.

Favorite Professional Teams: Miami Heat.

Cumulative GPA: 3.70.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Sarah Hagen of Appleton North in soccer. She is now playing for UW-Milwaukee. I think she’s on the U.S. women’s team for soccer for her age group. She is really strong on the ball and had very good ball skills.”

College Plans: “I’m going to Winona State University and majoring in biology and playing soccer.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Volunteer for Special Olympics in volleyball, Leadership Council at Neenah High School.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I really don’t get to relax that often, but when I do I hang out with my friends and watch movies or just hang out. Maybe get some ice cream.”

Favorite TV show: Secret Life of an American Teenager.

Favorite Movie: Love and Basketball.

Favorite Musical Artists: “I just listen to whatever is coming on my ipod next.”

Favorite Subject: Science, human biology.

Favorite Websites: www.facebook.com, www.twitter.com.

Other Family Members: Father, Jeff; mother, Kim; younger sister, Bree.
