Favorite Sport: “I like baseball the best because I think I’m the best at it. I think I have a future in that sport.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “For football, it would be playing every Friday night. Everybody looks forward to the games on Fridays. You get to play with your friends and there is a lot of adrenalin flowing before the games.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “Probably when my baseball coach told me if I put in enough work, I can accomplish anything.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “When we beat Barneveld in the state semifinals of the state baseball tournament this year. We won 3-2 and it came down to the bottom of the seventh. They had runners on second and third with two outs, and I struck the guy out to win the game.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “Just being able to play all year-round and to contribute to football, basketball and baseball. It’s fun to be a part of every team. Most of our sports excel so it’s fun to be around.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Switching sports. If you go deep into the playoffs, you have to switch right away into a different sport. That can be kind of tough. It’s a new atmosphere. Going from outside in football to inside in the gym for basketball, that can be a lot different.”

Favorite Opponent: “In football, this year it would probably be Gilman. We’ve always been rivals. For basketball, it would probably be Regis. We have always been rivals with Regis. In baseball, it would probably be Altoona because it is one of the toughest teams we play against in the Cloverbelt.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Favorite Professional Team: Green Bay Packers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.50.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I’d have to say Connor Miller from Regis. He was very smooth and made it look so easy playing point guard.”

College Plans: “I don’t know yet what I am going to study, but I do think I am going to try to play college baseball. Kentucky and Illinois-Chicago have offered scholarships for baseball. I might decide late this fall or maybe next spring. I will take a visit to Kentucky next weekend and I had previously visited UIC on an unofficial.” Editor's Note: Cody has since committed to play college basketball at Kentucky.

Activities Outside of Sports: Student Ambassador at McDonell Central, involved with Youth Group at English Lutheran of Bateman, volunteer for youth sports in the Chippewa Falls area.
