New Berlin Eisenhower's Nicole Bauman has been selected as the top senior Point Guard as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards presented by Taco Bell. She was a unanimous pick by the voting panel.

Bauman is the engine that drives the Lions team and one of the favorites for the Miss Basketball Award this season. The 5-10 senior averages 17.1 points per game as Eisenhower sits a perfect 26-0 heading into the state tournament this week.

Capable of splashing three-pointers from the outside or getting into the lane to finish, she does it all for the Lions, who won a fourth consecutive conference title. She is more than just a scorer however, able to get penetration and make pin-point passes to teammates for easy baskets.

She averaged 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game along with 3 steals per contest. Bauman also shot 44% from three-point line and 80% from free throw line.

Eisenhower claimed the 2010 Division 2 state title as Bauman had a breakout performance. She was named the Tournament MVP after scoring 22 points with 5 assists and 4 rebounds in the championship game against Winneconne.

Finalists for the award were Bauman, Terri Bender of Pius XI, Sarah Connolly of Newman Catholic, Dilonna Johnson of Dominican, and Breland Prochaska of Fennimore.

The voting panel for the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards consisted of:  Nicholas Kartos, WSN President and Founder; Travis Wilson, WSN Content Manager and Girls Basketball Writer; Martenzie Johnson, WSN Content Producer; John Casper Jr., Eau Claire Leader-Telegram; Dennis Semrau, Wisconsin State Journal
