Athlete of the Week Sept. 3-9: Sara DePouw, Oconto
Sara DePouw of Oconto girls volleyball has been selected as the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of September 3 through the 9th following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. DePouw beat out Sam Anderson of Stevens Point boys cross country.
Oconto (6-1 overall) is looking for a Packerland Conference title this season after finishing second to Kewaunee. DePouw is one of the reasons that Oconto will have a shot, she led the Blue Devils to the Shawano Inivational Championship while collecting 59 kills, 10 blocks and 36 digs last weekend.
