Burrondi Childs, Milwaukee Hamilton -- Donte Steward of Milwaukee Marshall holds the single-game state record with 465 rushing yards back in 2005. On Friday, another Milwaukee running back threatened that mark. Burrondi Childs of Milwaukee Hamilton, who came in with less than 150 yards on the year, carried the ball 29 times for 455 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Wildcats held off the Milwaukee Pulaski co-op 52-41. He scored on touchdown runs of 39, 34, 85, 30, and 64 yards. His 455 yards is second on the all-time list.

Austin Hephner, Chilton -- The Tigers faced their tightest test of the season Friday night when they squared off against Kewaunee. Hosting a Storm team that had defeated them 35-0 and 49-0 in the last two meetings in Chilton, the Tigers fell behind 14-0 at halftime before battling back in the second half. Hephner's 48-yard touchdown catch pulled them within 14-13 in the third quarter. After Kewaunee botched a potential game-winning extra point at the end of regulation, Hephner took the second play of Chilton's overtime possession in for a 25 yard touchdown run and the defense held for a 33-27 overtime win. He finished with 204 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries to go with 3 catches for 58 yards and a score as the Tigers clinched a share of the Olympian-Packerland Large title.

Michael Johnson, Evansville/Albany -- The new Evansville/Albany co-op has quietly put together a nice season, with Friday's 61-12 win over Beloit Turner moving the team to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in the Rock Valley-North. Johnson has been very good, with four games of at least 150 yards heading into Week 7. He really broke out in the big win over Turner however, carrying the ball 33 times for 372 yards and 7 touchdowns. Those 7 scores tie a state record held by several other players. Six of the touchdowns came in the first half. Evansville/Albany has a chance to grab a share of the conference title when they travel to East Troy next weekend.

Brady Kelliher, Arrowhead -- Kelliher is in his first season as the full-time starting quarterback for the Warhawks and has acquitted himself quite nicely. Arrowhead is unbeaten on the season and ranked #1 in the WisSports.net Division 1 Coaches Poll. On Thursday in a game against rival Waukesha West, Kelliher completed 11 of 17 passes for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Warhawks claimed a dominating 52-7 win. He also scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Aaron Winch, Stevens Point -- The Panthers were deadlocked with rival Wisconsin Rapids in Friday's battle for the Ol' River Jug Trophy, and drove down to the Raiders 1-yard line before being stopped on back to back plays and turning the ball over on downs. Winch quickly made sure the team regained the momentum however, sacking Rapids quarterback Jared Halbur in the end zone on the next play for a safety as the team went up 15-13. They would score a touchdown on the ensuing drive and held on for a 21-19 win to secure at least a share of the VFA-South title. He finished the game with four tackles and the game-changing sack.
