PROJECTED Football Playoff Qualifying Field

WARNING!! THESE ARE JUST PROJECTIONS!!

WisSports.net has projected all Week 8 games that would impact possible playoff qualification and come up with a PROJECTED postseason field.

Remember that these are just projections and are very likely to change. Even one game going differently could alter the landscape for multiple teams in terms of qualification and divisional placement.

These projections assume that Rhinelander's appeal to the WIAA to waive their postseason ban will be granted. For more on that situation, please read here. That appeal was likely made today, and we may know as soon as tomorrow if it was granted.

My projections result in every team that finished exactly .500 in conference play making the postseason, with no sub-.500 teams making it. If there end up with less than 224 teams that finish at or above .500 in conference, the WIAA has indicated they will next take teams that are below .500 in conference but have the highest overall winning percentage. If it came to that, the most likely teams to fit that criteria are Lake Mills (win over Columbus puts them at 2-3 in league but 5-3 overall), Dodgeville (win over River Valley puts them at 2-3 in league but 5-3 overall), or Platteville (I project them beating Prairie du Chien to clinch at 3-2 in league, but a loss would leave them at 2-3 in league but 5-3 overall).
