David Hellerud, La Crosse Logan -- The Rangers entered Friday's game against Tomah need a victory to become playoff-eligible. Hellerud made sure that got taken care of, scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 215 yards on 23 carries as Logan claimed a 36-26 victory. He opened the scoring with a 29-yard scamper in the first quarter, added a 3-yard plunge in the third, and sealed the deal with a 42-yard score with just over two minutes remaining in the game after Tomah had the cut the lead to just three points..

Shawn Magee, Rice Lake -- The Warriors could clinch a playoff berth with a win over River Falls on Friday, but it was a big game for the Wildcats too, who could become playoff-eligible with a victory. The teams went back and forth, but it was Magee's two touchdowns in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter that pushed Rice Lake's lead to 18 points as they held on for a 46-35 win. The senior quarterback finished the game with 127 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns.

Jerrid McDaniel, North Crawford -- McDaniel put his best foot forward in helping the Trojans secure a playoff spot Friday. Facing co-Ridge & Valley leader De Soto, McDaniel connected on a 27-yard field goal with two seconds remaining to lift North Crawford to an improbable 23-22 victory. It came just a few plays after De Soto mishandled a punt snap in the waning seconds of the game, dashing their hopes of a share of the conference title. McDaniel also connected on both extra point attempts in the game.

Tommy Schuh, Owen-Withee -- The Blackhawks entered Friday's game against Athens looking to give the Bluejays their first loss of the season and force a three-way tie atop the Cloverwood standings. They did just that, with Schuh playing a big role as always. He carried the ball 24 times for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Owen-Withee claimed a 22-7 win.

Jake Zills, Ashwaubenon -- The Jaguars' game with Notre Dame was extremely important for both teams, as the winner was likely in the playoffs while the loser was left out. Notre Dame went up 13-0 in the second quarter, but Zills scored a touchdown in the second, third, and fourth quarters as Ashwaubenon rallied for a 21-13 win and earned a postseason berth. He finished with 19 carries for 125 yards and 3 scores while adding a pair of catches for 19 yards.
