Athlete of the Week Nominees for Oct. 29-Nov. 4

Below are the nominees for the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of October 29th through November 4th. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Ciara Capezio, Burlington girls volleyball. Capezio collected 84 kills in the tournament ranks second-most in Division 1 history. She had 20 kills to help the Demons to back-to-back Division 1 titles in their sweep of Divine Savior Holy Angels. 

Jo-Leigh VerVelde, Oostburg girls volleyball. VerVelde led the Flying Dutchman with 24 kills and added 23 assists as they won their second straight Division 3 championship with a 3-1 win over Oconto. She also had 15 kills and 20 digs in their semifinal win over Grantsburg.

Megan Wadsworth, Catholic Central girls volleyball. Wadsworth led the way with 13 kills and five blocks for the Hilltoppers as they claimed their second consecutive Division 4 title with a straight set win over Newman Catholic. In their semifinal win over Luck, she had 15 kills. 

Tyler Ledbeter, Somerset football. Ledbeter rushed for 333 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 carries in Somerset's Level 3 win over Saint Croix Central 49-14.

Tyler Reynolds, Waunakee football. Reynolds had 28 carries for 281 yards and three scores in the Warriors win over Watertown 55-27 in Level 3 action.
