Favorite Sport: “Basketball is definitely my favorite. In softball, you stand around at times and in volleyball, it isn’t as intense as basketball. I started playing basketball in third grade and it’s fun to make plays in basketball.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “I like to be involved in something and being a part of a team. Being in sports, you are always looking forward to the next practice or the next game. You are always with your friends so it’s a lot of fun.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “I’ve been told to play in the future and not in the past. You have to forget your past mistakes and instead play in the future. You can’t worry about anything bad happening.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “Either going over 1,000 points in basketball or when we beat Northwood for the WIAA regional title in softball as a junior. It was our first regional title ever. And then we beat Shell Lake in the sectional semifinal so that was pretty special as well.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “When one season is done, you always have the next season to look forward. In a small school, we have the same girls going from one team to the next team. I am close to a lot of friends at my school and it’s fun to go from sport to sport with them.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Probably the homework. Last year, I didn’t have any study halls. In basketball, if we have an away game, I don’t get home until 11:00 p.m. or 11:30 p.m. There are times you don’t feel like doing your homework. I just wanted to eat and go to bed. But you still have to push through and get it done.”

Favorite Opponent: “In basketball, we definitely like to play against Washburn. This year our goal is to beat them. We’ve always wanted to beat them and it’s very intense when we play.”

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers.

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.625.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Stefanie Siroin from Washburn or Sarah Benson from Northwood in basketball. Stefanie is a very big post player who averaged a ton of points per game. Our goal was to always keep her under 15 points when we played against her. Sarah is a versatile player, kind of like me. It’s nice to go up against her, one-on-one. It’s very competitive.”

College Plans: “I am going to attend to St. Cloud State University in Minnesota on a NCAA Division II basketball scholarship. I have thought about being a math teacher, but overall I’m still undecided.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Play the flute in the marching band and pep band at Drummond, National Honor Society member, volunteer for youth basketball camps at Drummond, help with roadside cleanup in Drummond area.

I Find it Relaxing to: “In the summer, I like to swim and tube. In the winter, I like to go snowmobiling and skiing. Otherwise, I just like to hang out with my friends.”

Favorite TV show: “Two and Half Men.”

Favorite Movie: “Into The Blue.”

Favorite Musical Artists: “I like everything. I don’t have a favorite song. I pretty much listen to whatever is on the radio.”

Favorite Subject: Math.

Favorite Restaurant: Applebee’s in Duluth, Minnesota.

Favorite Websites: www.wissports.net.

Other Family Members: Father, Charlie; mother, Chris Anne; older brother, Brian; twin brother, Ben.
