Athlete of the Week Nominees for December 3-9
Below are the nominees for th Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of December 3 through 9. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word.
Brett Percy, Monona Grove boys basketball, scored 22 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, in a 53-47 win over Fort Atkinson on Saturday.
Austin Hawkins, Auburndale boys basketball, finished with 30 points in the Apaches' 72-40 win over Assumption on Friday night. On Tuesday night, Hawkins scored a team-high 18 points in the Apaches' 66-39 win over Edgar.
Amanda Hunt, Grafton girls basketball, totaled 31 points in the Black Hawks 67-61 win over Racine Park on Tuesday night.
Sydney Kannel, New Richmond girls basketball, scored 37 points in the Tigers 54-45 win over Durand on Friday night.
Jaimee Pitt, Amherst girls basketball, helped the Falcons to a win Weyauwega-Fremont 46-41 on Friday night as she scored a game-high 24 points. Pitt also finished with 17 points in a 67-64 win over Westfield on Monday night.
