Favorite Sport: “Basketball is my favorite sport, by far. I’ve been playing basketball my whole life. It’s a sport I enjoy more than running or playing baseball. It’s more intense. It’s a lot of fun. I just really love the game.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The overall competition level. I just really like competing, no matter what sport. It’s a lot of fun to get out there and play.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “My basketball coach, Josh Hanson, tells me all the time to take one game at a time and to take nothing for granted. Also, he tells me to play my game every game while staying out of foul trouble, letting the game come to me and not to try to do too much.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “In the sectional final game last year, we played Clayton and we won by four. We were down one point with 30 points left and I got the ball at the top of the key and drove the lane. I got hacked and made the shot and then made the free throw. Later, I made two more free throws and we would up winning by four.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “There is always another sport to look forward to. There is always a lot of good competition, no matter the sport.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Late nights and homework can be difficult, but for the most part I think competing in three sports is an advantage. You always get to represent your school. The community and the fans are excellent at Drummond. They are intense at our games and we appreciate it very much.”

Favorite Opponent: “Probably Washburn in basketball. They have always been a big rival. When my coach played, Washburn was Drummond’s biggest rival and they are still our biggest rival as well. They always have very good teams.”

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks.

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers, Butler Bulldogs.

Cumulative GPA: 3.5.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Tyler Vernon from Washburn. We are good friends and it’s fun to play against him and knock him off. Freshmen year we lost to them both times, sophomore and junior years we went 1-1 against them. So this is a new year and a big year. We want to go 2-0 against Washburn so I can even the score against Tyler.”

College Plans: “Right now, I am totally undecided about where I will go or what I want to do. I do want to play basketball in college … that much I know. I am hearing from some Division II and III schools right now.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Volunteer at youth basketball camps, officiate elementary school basketball games, volunteer for roadside cleanup in the spring.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I like to watch TV. I like to do something that doesn’t involve a lot of thinking. I like to sit out on the couch and relax.”
