Division 1

Germantown continued its dominance of the Wisconsin basketball scene with four wins over the last two weeks, including dominating performances over very good teams from East Troy and Arrowhead. Milwaukee King played in the very strong Beachball Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over the break and went 1-2 at the event with losses to highly-rated out of state teams. The Generals slide from #2 to #5 this week. Former #3 Milwaukee Vincent lost to De Pere and slipped to 8th. Milwaukee Hamilton is up to 2nd this week, followed by Madison Memorial and Sussex Hamilton. There is a tie for the 10th spot between Brookfield Central and unbeaten Stevens Point.

Division 2

Wow. It was not a good week to be a ranked Division 2 team. Eight of the ten teams in the Week 4 rankings suffered defeats since that time, combining for 15 losses. Former #1 Rice Lake lost a pair of 48-45 contests on last second three-pointers to Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids and dropped to #3 this week. Onalaska was poised to move into the #1 spot but fell to MVC rival Aquinas and remains at #2. Seymour capitalizes on the turmoil to jump from #5 to #1 this week. Overall there are six new teams to the rankings compared to Week 4.

Division 3

Little Chute lost a heartbreaker to Whitefish Bay at the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout and drops from the top spot to #3. Wisconsin Dells is off to a great 10-0 start and now sits at #1, followed by Lodi (the teams meet January 28th by the way). Speaking of Lodi and big games, they face off against #6 Lake Mills Thursday night with Capitol-North supremacy on the line. Roncalli and Durand and new to this week's poll.

Division 4

Dominican suffered its third loss of the season over the break, a 50-47 setback to Aquinas, but narrowly maintained its top spot in the Division 4 Coaches Poll. Just behind the Knights is unbeaten Southwestern, who hosts #3 Cuba City on Friday in a huge SWAL contest. Elk Mound and Auburndale round out this week's top five.

Division 5

Another day, another poll that finds Randolph on top. The Rockets were a unanimous selection as the #1 team in Division 5, with Green Bay NEW Lutheran, who defeated former #4 Drummond over the break, close behind. Drummond loss coupled with one to Peshtigo as well dropped them to #6 this week while Royall suffered a pair of losses as well and dropped from #3 to #8.
