Heather Woyak of Stevens Point selected as the top senior Outfielder

Stevens Point's Heather Woyak has been selected as the top senior Outfielder as part of the WSN Senior Softball Awards.

Woyak has played a key role in the Panthers trip to the state tournament this season. She is hitting .461 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI's and 42 runs scored. She was chosen First Team All-Conference this season for the second year in a row. 

She is the all-time leading home run hitter at Stevens Point with 21. Heather had 3 home runs and 9 RBI's in a doubleheader win over Brodhead on April 13th. She also belted a pair of home runs and drove in 5 runs in a 12-9 loss to Wilmot on May 11th. 

Woyak also plays very well defensively for the Panthers. Through 27 games she has 40 put-outs and 4 outfield assists to go along with a perfect fielding percentage. 

Stevens Point (25-4) will play Germantown in the Division 1 state quarterfinals on Thursday. 

Woyak will play softball at the University of Minnesota-Duluth next year. 

Finalists for the award were Woyak, Alissa Adams of Chippewa Falls, Sarah Carew of Hortonville, Annie McClelland of Union Grove and Katie Thompson of Baldwin-Woodville. 

Hayden Krueger of Westosha Central won the award last season.
