WisSports.net Week 6 Team of the Week Nominees:

Arrowhead -- The Warhawks have had a target on their backs the entire season, and things haven't gone as smoothly as they'd like or many expected. However, against an extremely difficult schedule they are now 5-1 and unbeaten in the Classic Eight after a hard-fought 13-7 win over previously undefeated Waukesha West. The defense, which has been outstanding all year, came up big again, picking off West quarterback Conor Blount 5 times and sacking him twice. Linebacker Matt Seitz recorded 16 tackles, including 13 solo stops.

Black Hawk -- Potosi had dominated opponents so far this year, but on Saturday saw the tables turned as Black Hawk went up and and poured it on for a 46-8 victory. The defense held Potosi to just 163 total yards and forced 5 turnovers, while the Warriors' running game piled up 315 yards on the ground, led by 132 from Tanner Sweeney.

Kimberly -- The annual Kimberly vs. Appleton North game has become one of the best games of the season not only in the Fox Valley but the entire state. They've gone back and forth for quite a few years, with North winning a tight 22-19 ballgame last season. This year, things were much different. Kimberly jumped out early and poured it on to go up 49-0 in the third quarter before cruising home with a running clock for a 49-14 win. Quarterback Scott Schreiber and J.P. Peerenboom had big days in limited roles for the Papermakers, who have clear control of the VFA-North.

Royall -- Royall has not made the playoffs since 2002 (and never won a postseason game) while Bangor has become a fixture in the last decade and dominated the Scenic Bluffs. In one of the biggest wins in school history, Royall won 34-28 as Trenton Pasch returned a fumble 30 yards for the winning score late in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Adam Vieth threw for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was Royall's first win over Bangor since the 2002 season.

Stratford -- 13 combined state titles and decades of dominance in the Marawood Conference are represented by these two schools, who have often met in the postseason as well. Since Stratford's 7-3 win in the 2008 Division 6 title game, Edgar had gotten the better of the rivalry however, winning four straight. Edgar's run and 44-game conference winning streak was snapped when Jake Zuelke booted a 21-yard field goal in overtime to give the Tigers a 17-14 win.
