Athlete of the Week Nominees, Nov. 25-Dec. 1

Below are the WSN Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of November 18 through 24. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Dillon Kempen, Suring boys basketball, scored 32 points in the 56-54 overtime win over Oconto Falls. 

Allie LeClaire, Notre Dame girls basketball, scored a career-high 37 points and reached 1,000 career points in a 59-48 double overtime win against Division 1 preseason #5 DSHA. She also scored 23 points in a 45-37 win over Mukwonago. 

Owen Linzmeier, Nekoosa boys basketball, scored 30 points in a 62-44 win over Pittsville and scored 26 points in a 67-56 victory over Assumption at the Cranberry Classic. 

Katy Walz, Waukesha West girls basketball, finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists to help the Wolverines knock off defending Division 1 State Champs Milwaukee Riverside, 56-52 in overtime.  She also had 14 points in their win over Oostburg, 39-26. 

Frankie Wurtz, Kimberly girls basketball, led the Papermakers to the championship at the Hank Raymonds Tournament held at Pius XI. She had 17 points in their 46-36 win over Whitefish Bay and 21 points in their 41-36 victory over Pius XI in the title game. Wurtz went 21-for-22 from the free throw line in the two games.
