Marathon rallies with 5 points in final 16 seconds to shock defending D5 champ Assumption

Down by 4 points with 16 seconds left against longtime Marawood-South nemesis Assumption, the Marathon girls basketball team got a three-pointer, a steal, and layup in the final ticks to pull off a shocking 47-46 victory.
Marathon would beat Newman Catholic a few days later and are tied for first in the conference with Assumption.
