Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awads -- Point Guard Finalists:

Riley LaChance, Brookfield Central – LaChance is the catalyst behind Central’s 24-0 record and No. 1-ranking among Division 1 schools in Wisconsin. His ability to score, pass, defend and make clutch plays is evident nearly every time he steps onto the court. The Vanderbilt recruit is a 6-foot-2 combination guard, but his play-making ability is most definitely one of his biggest assets.

Paul Miller, Kettle Moraine – A shooting lead guard with excellent size at 6-4, Miller led Kettle Moraine to a 21-3 record and the title in the Classic Eight Conference. The North Dakota State recruit can shoot over smaller defenders or blow past bigger defenders with his quick first step to the basket. His development over the past three years has been steady and that figures to continue at the next level as he continues to grow into his long frame.

Turner Moen, Lake Mills – A physically and mentally tough point guard with excellent vision and the ability to take over a game with his scoring ability, Moen carried Lake Mills to a 16-8 record while competing in the ultra-tough Northern Division of the Capitol Conference. The Southwest Minnesota State recruit missed the early portion of the season while recovering from a foot injury sustained during the football season, but he went out with a bang, scoring a career-high 38 points in a 56-52 loss to Marshall in a Division 3 regional final.

Adam Pohlman, Neenah – Quick, shifty and intelligent are definitely three words to describe Pohlman, who shared Player of the Year honors with teammate Matt Heldt in the Fox Valley Association after leading the Rockets to the conference title. A four-year varsity performer, Pohlman consistently carves up defenses and finds excellent scoring opportunities for his teammates. He has led Neenah to a 23-1 record heading into a sectional semifinal against Stevens Point.

Cam Ward, Marshall – One of the more exciting players to watch in the state, Ward can make shots from virtually any spot on the court and uses his quickness to get separation from defenders. He has scored more than 2,300 points during his four-year career and is averaging a robust 26.8 ppg for a Marshall squad that won the Southern Division crown in the Capitol Conference.
