Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Shooter Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards -- Shooter Finalists: 

Kari Clements, Wilmot -- Clements is averaging 16.1 points per game and has connected on 47 threes heading into tonight's sectional semi-final aginst McFarland. The Minot State recruit also aveages 3.4 assists and 5.5 steals per game for the Panthers. 

Alexa Kelsey, Monona Grove -- Kelsey has made 49 threes (35%) heading into tonight's sectional semi-final against DeForest. She is averaging 16 points per game and also contributes 4 steals per game for the Silver Eagles. 

Lydia Rohde, Brookfield Central -- Rohde has connected on 57 threes while shooting 48 percent from long range heading into tonight's sectional semi-final against DSHA. The 5-foot-10 guard is averaging a team high 13.8 and 4 assists per game will play at Northwestern this fall. 

Natalie Soper, Onalaska -- Soper has made over 40 threes this season while shooting over 40 pecent from behind the arc. The West Florida recruit averaged just under 10 points per game for the Hilltoppers. 

Brooke Trewyn, Whitewater -- Trewyn has scored at least 20 points in seven of the Whippets games this season, including a 36 point effert in a win over Jefferson last month. In their most recent win against Lakeside Lutheran, she scored 21 points and made 4 threes. Trewyn is averaging 15.5 points heading into tonight's sectional semi-final against Brodhead.
