Benton/Shullsburg softball won four games last week, including knocking off conference leader Highland. They are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week.
After going winless last season Benton/Shullsburg has won eight of their last nine games and are just a half game back of Six Rivers Conference leader Highland.
Last Tuesday they handed Highland their first Six Rivers West loss of the season by a score of 4-2. In their first matchup this season, the Cardinals won 14-0.
Melissa Brant got the win going all 7 innings while striking out 6 and allowing just 3 hits.
Benton/Shullsburg also notched wins over Cassville/River Ridge (17-10, 4-2) and Potosi (6-4).
They are 11-5 overall and 6-2 in the Six Rivers West this season.
