Regis softball upset Durand in the opening round of the WIAA playoffs on Thursday. The Ramblers are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week.

No. 6 seed Regis knocked off No. 3 seed Durand 5-4 in 8 innings on Thursday night to advance to the second round of the Division 3 WIAA Playoffs.

The Ramblers held a 4-0 lead on Durand heading into fourth inning before Durand scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game up.

Regis' Kayla Pettis-Miller scored the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning after reaching base via a hit by pitch.

She also pitched all eight innings for the Ramblers, striking out 7 and finishing with just 2 walks. All four runs allowed were unearned.

Lauren Clark went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI to lead the Ramblers at the plate. Lauren Newby added two hits, including a double in the win.

Regis (9-7) will face No. 2 seed Elk Mound (15-7) in the second round of the WIAA playoffs on Tuesday in Elk Mound.
