Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the 2014 WSN Senior Baseball Awards.

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the spring baseball state tournament.

WSN Senior Baseball Awards -- Infielder/Catcher Finalists:

Carter Amundsen, Sheboygan South -- Amundsen was not only a First Team All-Conference selection in the FRCC, but earned co-FRCC Player of the Year recognition as well after helping the Redwings to a third place league finish. This season he hit .410 with 13 RBI, 26 runs, and 10 steals.

Turner Doornink, Clintonville -- Doornink followed up an Honorable Mention All-State junior season with an even better senior campaign. The Truckers' slugger hit an incredible .621 with 7 home runs and 31 RBI in 22 games.

Nick Lemke, Rosholt -- The Hornets won yet another CWC-10 Conference title under veteran coach Jack Brooks, and Lemke was a big reason for the success. The league's co-Player of the Year with teammate Jared Richter, Lemke hit .524 with 7 home runs, 6 triples, 6 doubles, 42 runs scored, and 44 RBI.

Kyle Mrozinski, Ashwaubenon -- Mrozinski is a four-year starter and three-time First Team All-Conference selection for the Jaguars. He made the move from catcher to first base this season after a football injury. He remained just as productive at the plate though, hitting .377 with 25 RBI, 11 doubles, and a .515 on base percentage. Mrozinski was also a finalist for the John Anderson Award as the state's top linebacker in the fall.

Daulton Varsho, Marshfield -- Varsho was a Second Team All-State catcher last season, and could be in line to move up in 2014. He was the Wisconsin Valley Player of the Year, hitting .462 with 6 home runs, 31 RBI, 35 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases.
