Holmen's Jeren Kendall has been selected as the top senior Outfielder as part of the WSN Senior Baseball Awards.

One of the top professional prospects to come out of Wisconsin over the last few years, Kendall's strong commitment to Vanderbilt resulted in him sliding to the 30th round of the recent MLB Draft despite being the #89 prospect in Baseball America's rankings.

Kendall repeated on the Mississippi Valley All-Conference First Team as a senior, adding MVC Player of the Year honors as well. Back in May, he recorded 10 RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Beaver Dam, hitting for the cycle in the second game. The Vikings went undefeated in league play and finished the season 22-2 overall, including spending several weeks as the #1 team in the WBCA Division 1 Coaches Poll.

Finalists for the award were Kendall, Jon Barnes of Stevens Point, Conner Funnell of Sun Prairie, Connor Rolain of Appleton North, and Peyton Sterkowitz of Reedsburg.

Past winners of the award include Kenosha Bradford's Nate Mikolas (2012) and Madison West's Alex Brown (2013).
