Brookfield Central baseball capured the Summer Baseball Championship on Friday. The Lancers are this weeks Playinthedells.com Splash of the Week.
Brookfield Central (29-6) defeated Homestead (26-8) 9-2 to claim their fourth State Summer Baseball Title.
Matt Ausloos earned the victory for the Lancers. He entered the game in the second inning and got Brookfield Central out of a jam to keep the score tied at 2 after the second inning and pitched the rest of the game.
Ausloos was also productive at the plate, collecting two hits, an RBI, and a run scored.
Jonathan Keane drove in three runs for Brookfield Central and Elijah Goodman added two hits and two RBI.
In State Semifinals the Lancers topped Plymouth 2-1 behind a stromg pitching performance from Goodman.
He pitched a complete game and finished with 13 strikeouts in the victory.
Riley Keays drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning after both teams scored a run in the fifth inning.
Brookfield Central's four summer baseball titles are tied for the most all-time, Oak Creek also has four.
