Splash of the Week: Marquette boys volleyball

Marquette boys volleyball overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat New Berlin United in five games and claim their second straight Boys Volleyball State championship. The Hilltoppers are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week

Marquette lost the first two sets 12-25, 16-25 before winning the last three 25-22, 25-22, 15-13 to win the Boys Volleyball State Title held at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee.

This is the Hilltoppers 8th State Title which is second most in state history. 

Eaven Mason led the Hilltoppers with 14 kills, while Drew Riley and Mark Heinen each added 13. Donald Foley compiled 53 assits and Johnathan Duffy notched 16 digs in the victory.

Marquette defeated Burlington in a State Semifinal 3-0 and Wauwatosa East 3-1 in State Quarterfinals. 

Foley racked up 81 assists in those two matches. Heinen finished with a team-high 10 kills in their win over Burlington, while Stephen Roenitz led the team with 19 kills in their victory against Wauwatosa East.
