After a nearly two-month absence, Sun Prairie senior Nick Noskowiak is back with the Cardinals' basketball program.

The 6-foot-2 guard returned to practice on Wednesday and is eligible to compete for Sun Prairie as soon as Thursday when the Cardinals host Janesville Craig in a Big Eight Conference game.

Ranked No. 5 among senior prospects in Wisconsin by WisSports.net, Noskowiak missed the last 11 games while on a medical leave.

Sun Prairie went 6-5 during his departure, but the Cardinals have lost five of their last six games and sit at 10-7 overall and 7-6 in league games heading into the contest against Craig.

Noskowiak, who signed a national letter of intent last fall to play at Marquette, was averaging 25.0 points per game when he left the team following a loss to Middleton on December 19.

Sun Prairie coach Jeff Boos confirmed Noskowiak's return to the team and said he is immediately eligible to play.

A four-year varsity performer at Sun Prairie, Noskowiak has scored 1,325 points during his prep career and went for a career-best 43 points in a victory over Beloit Memorial earlier this season.
