Milwaukee North's Darrell Riley has been selected as the top senior Point Guard as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.

Riley led the state in scoring by averaging 37.6 points per game for a North Division squad that went 16-9 and qualified for the WIAA Division 3 sectionals with a victory over St. Francis in a regional final.

Riley, a lightning-quick 5-foot-9 lead guard, scored 30 or more points 21 times this season, including a career-best 52 in a victory over Milwaukee Pulaski.

Riley utilized his speed, quickness and aggressiveness to continually beat opponents down the floor in transition. He also knocked down three-point shots on a consistent basis and finished his prep career with 1,872 career points.

Finalists for the award were Riley, Milwaukee King's Joseph Binyoti, Kimberly's Ben Boots, Brown Deer's Lawrenzo Byers and Madison Memorial's Shareef Smith.

Past winners of the award include Riley LaChance of Brookfield Central (2014), Duane Wilson of Dominican (2013), and Carrlington Love of Pius XI (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
