Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of June 1 through 7. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: June 1-7

Gabby Beauvais, Monona Grove girls' track & field, earned Division 1 first place finishes in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dash, while also finishing in third place in the long jump. 

Kelsey Felicijan, DeForest softball, hit a grand slam in the top of the 7th inning to give the Norkies' a 8-7 win over La Crosse Central to advance to the Division 1 State Tournament. The Norkies' trailed 7-4 entering the 7th before Felicijan's slam, she finished 2-for-4 in the victory. 

Andrea Hiess, McDonell Central softball, doubled in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning to propel the Macks' past Cochrane-Fountain City 4-2 and advance to the Division 4 State Tournament. Hiess finished with three hits in the game. 

Collin Hofacker, Freedom boys' track & field, finished first in the 200 and 400 meter dash, while also running a leg of the 4x400 took home the Division 2 title. 

Gunnar Peterson, Wilmot baseball, went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI to help the tenth-seeded Panthers upset second-seed Waterford 5-2 and advance to Division 1 Sectional play.
