New Berlin Eisenhower's Stephanie Lombardo has been selected as the top senior infielder/catcher as part of the WSN Senior Softball Awards.
Lombardo finished the season with a .500 batting average with 10 home runs, 51 RBI, and 34 runs scored for the Lions who reached a Division 2 Sectional Final before falling to Waupun 5-4.
Stephanie saw extended in the circle this season when starter Katie Schlegel missed the start of the season due to forearm surgery.
Lombardo compiled a 13-2 record with 3 saves for the Lions, while striking out 108 hitters in 108 2/3 innings pitched and posted a 3.23 ERA.
She finished with a .946 fielding percentage, just 5 errors in 93 chances.
Last season Lombardo was named First Team WFSCA All-State and Woodland West Player of the Year after leading the Lions to the Division 2 State Tournament.
Lombardo signed her national letter of intent to play for the Wisconsin Badgers last fall.
New Berlin Eisenhower finished the season with a 24-4 overall record and Woodland West champs (15-1). The Lions were ranked No. 3 in the final WFSCA Coaches Poll.
Finalists for the award were Lombardo, Kyncaide Diedrich of Athens, Megan Kleist of Kimberly, Brooke Phillips of Iola-Scandinavia, and Lindsey Stranis of Ashwaubenon.
Westosha Central's Larkin Langston won the award last season.
