Week 4 WisSports.net Coaches Poll
Week 3 WisSports.net Coaches Poll
Week 2 WisSports.net Coaches Poll
Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll

Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Several big-time match-ups by ranked teams resulted in some shake-ups in the Division 1 Coaches Poll, though Kimberly and Arrowhead continued their march at the top. Bay Port suffered its first defeat of the year to Ashwaubenon and fell five spots to #8 this week. Oak Creek's loss to Franklin and Appleton North's defeat at the hands of Kimberly caused both teams to fall out of the poll, as Madison La Follette and Muskego returned at #9 and #10 respectively.

Division 2

Another week and another new team in the top spot of the Division 2 rankings. Menomonie's run at the top was short-lived, as the Mustangs fell on the road to Superior to drop all the way to #9 this week, one spot behind Superior. Waunakee, De Pere, and Chippewa Falls all received at least #1 vote, but it was the Warriors of Waunakee that came out on top. De Pere, Waukesha West, Menasha, and Chippewa Falls round out the top five. ChiHi is a newcomer to the rankings this week, as the Cardinals are off to a very impressive 5-0 start to the season, including a 39-7 win over Superior two weeks ago. Speaking of Superior (again), they move into the rankings this week at #8. Very good teams such as Ashwaubenon, DeForest, Brookfield Central, Brookfield East, Cedarburg, and others received votes in the loaded D2 field, but fell just short of the top ten.

Division 3

Catholic Memorial's 23-14 loss to Muskego caused the Crusaders to fall out of the top spot, though they still received one #1 vote. However, it was Rice Lake that garnered the majority of the top position on ballots, putting the Warriors into the #1 position, followed by Xavier and then Catholic Memorial. Losses by Luxemburg-Casco and Waupaca towards the bottom of the rankings led them to drop out, with New Berlin Eisenhower and Sheboygan Falls into the top ten this week.

Division 4

Lodi remains a solid #1 in Division 4, but Wrightstown and Columbus each garnered a top vote this week. The top seven teams in the rankings are all undefeated: Lodi, Wrightstown, Spencer/Columbus Catholic, Saint Croix Central, River Valley, Columbus, and Kiel. Black River Falls was in that group last week, but went down to D5 #2 Arcadia and fell three spots to #8. Omro makes its debut this week.

Division 5

Amherst and Arcadia continue to be a near unanimous #1 and #2 in the coaches poll, as the teams continue to rack up impressive victories. Westby is 3rd, though Elk Mound narrowly moved ahead of Cedar Grove-Belgium for the 5th spot. After Stratford lost to Edgar 15-13, the two-loss Tigers dropped out of the rankings, making room for undefeated Grantsburg out of the Lakeland-North.

Division 6

Edgar remains the top-ranked team in Division 6, though there is significant support in the poll for 2nd-ranked Saint Mary's Springs and 3rd-ranked Darlington as well. Speaking of Darlington, they knocked off previously 4th-ranked Cuba City last week, dropping the Cubans to #9. There was some other minor shuffling, but Cuba City's loss was the only one by a ranked D6 team last week.

Division 7

There were no losses by ranked Division 7 teams last week, which may be a first in what is usually the most volatile division. Pepin/Alma remains on top, with the only change from last week coming near the bottom, where undefeated Hilbert/Stockbridge edged ahead of Loyal for the 8th position.

8-Man Football

The top teams continue to roll on in 8-Man Football, as Prairie Farm and Green Bay NEW Lutheran seemed poised to meet in the 8-Man Jamboree's unofficial title game for a third straight season. They are again #1 and #2 in the Coaches Poll. Siren, previously ranked 5th, went down to Northwood/Solon Springs, as the Dragons dropped to 9th this week. Northwood moved into the 5th position. Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah beat Valley Christian, taking their place in the #10 spot.
