Seth Wilson of Holmen has been selected as the Week 8 Air National Guard Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Wilson was a big-play machine in a victory over Onalaska. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 8. A total of 10,344 votes were cast, as Wilson's 3,849 were enough to edge second place Jack Dunn of Madison Edgewood, who tallied 3,833.

Averaging more than 5 yards per carry is pretty impressive at any level. If you get into double figures per rush, it's an outstanding accomplishment. For junior fullback Seth Wilson of Holmen, he took it a step further, carrying the ball just 13 times but posting 221 yards and 5 touchdowns, an average of 17 yards per attempt, as the Vikings beat Onalaska 40-17 to remain tied with La Crosse Logan at the top of the MVC standings. His touchdown runs went for 52, 3, 47, 9, and 74 yards.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Air National Guard Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 9 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
