Joe Schauer of Whitnall boys' soccer has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of October 5 through 11 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 6,617 votes this week with Schauer receiving 2,325. Rachel Butterfield of Milton girls' volleyball finished second with 2,045 votes. 

Schauer scored 5 goals in a 9-0 win over Cudahy/St. Francis and tallied 2 goals in their 2-0 win against New Berlin Eisenhower last week.
