Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll

Division 1

Bay Port takes over the top-spot in the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. Mukwonago drops to No. 4 after dropping games against D2 No. 2 Waukesha West last Friday and Brookfield Central last night. Fifth-ranked Marshfield, who's lone loss is against top-ranked Bay Port, hosts D.C. Everest tonight in a match-up of teams who are each 4-0 in Wisconsin Valley play. Seventh-ranked DSHA host Brookfield East tonight, the Dashers are the only unbeaten team left in Greater Metro play. Newcomers to the coaches poll are Germantown and Sussex Hamilton. 

Division 2

Not much has changed since the last coaches poll, Pius XI continues to hold down the No. 1 spot. The Lady Popes head into tonight's games against Homestead with the state's second longest active winning streak, winners of their last 40 games. Second-ranked Waukesha West earned a big win over Mukwonago on Friday night. The Wolverines travel to Milwaukee King tonight. Undefeated and third-ranked Pulaski is on the road tonight against No. 4 Notre Dame in their first FRCC meeting of the season. Eighth-ranked and undefeated Grafton plays at Cedarburg on Friday night. No. 9 Pewaukee has a couple big road games this week, tonight they're at Arrowhead and Friday they travel to New Berlin Eisenhower. 

Division 3

Top-ranked Whitewater snuck past Brodhead, ranked No. 6 this week, on Thursday. Hayward jumps to No. 2 in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll, the Hurricanes are 12-0 on the season. Madison Edgewood drops one spot to No. 3 after falling to D2 No. 7 Stoughton in double-overtime last Tuesday. The Crusaders host D5 No. 1 Barneveld on Saturday. No. 4 Marshall moved to 13-0 on the season after defeating Oregon 79-71 last night. Xavier drops to four spots to No. 9 this week after falling to West De Pere last week, their third loss of the season. 

Division 4

Cuba City is the top-ranked in the WisSports.net Division 4 Coaches Poll for the first time this season. The Cubans have the state's longest active winning streak, winners of their past 60 games which include the past two D4 state titles. Cuba City travels to No. 6 Mineral Point on Friday in a match-up of teams undefeated in SWAL play. Marathon who spent last week at No. 1 is the second-ranked team this week. The Red Raiders host Assumption, ranked No. 2 in Division 5, on Thursday. No. 10 Regis will look to remain undefeated in Cloverbelt-West play tonight when they host Fall Creek. 

Division 5

Top-ranked Barneveld earned a quality non-conference win over Loyal on Saturday, 51-40. The Golden Eagles host Black Hawk tonight and Albany on Friday before traveling to Madison Edgewood to face the Crusaders, ranked No. 3 in D3. Second-ranked Assumption travels to Marathon on Thursday, the Royals lost their first match-up 59-44. Spots three though five in the coaches poll, include undefeated Sheboygan Christian, Riverdale and Loyal. Shullsburg suffered their first loss of the season last week, falling to Six Rivers-West foe River Ridge, but remain at No. 7 this week. New to the D5 WisSports.net Coaches Poll is undefeated Bangor who edged Melrose-Mindoro, 48-45, last night.
