Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll

Division 1

Mukwonago climbs back to the top spot of the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Indians wrap up the regular season on Wednesday night at home against Catholic Memorial. Second-ranked Oak Creek hosts Arrowhead in a quality late-season non-conference contest. Verona knocked Middleton, last week's top-ranked team, but fell to D2 No. 3 Stoughton last night. Verona finishes the regular season with a home game against Sun Prairie on Thursday. Middleton dropped to No. 5 this week, while Germantown moved up two spots after clinching at least a share of the North Shore title with a win over Cedarburg on Friday. Eau Claire Memorial joins the coaches poll this week, they most recently win came against Chippewa Falls, 67-23. 

Division 2

Pius XI regains the number 1 ranking in the D2 coaches poll. Stoughton moves up one spot to No. 4 after beating D1 No. 3 Verona last night. Pulaski defeated Notre Dame, last week's top-ranked team, to move into a tie for first in the FRCC and are No. 4 this week, followed by Notre Dame. No. 7 New Berlin Eisenhower travels to No. 9 Pewaukee tonight, the winner will move into sole possession of second place in the very-competitive Woodland-West. Waunakee joins the rankings this week and check in at No. 10, the Warriors have won their past 10 games. 

Division 3

Not much has changed in the Division 3 Coaches Poll. Top-ranked Whitewater travels to Oregon tonight in a non-conference contest. Second-ranked and undefeated Marshall host New Glarus tonight, the Cardinals won their first match-up by 11 points. Third-ranked Freedom hosts Little Chute tonight and finishes up the regular season on Friday night at Wrightstown. Undefeated Somerset, ranked No. 6 in the coaches poll, earned a quality non-conference win over Bloomer last night and finish the regular season schedule at home against Ellsworth on Thursday. Roncalli drops one spot to No. 8 this week after falling to Peshtigo last night. 

Division 4

The top eight spots in the Division 4 WisSports.net Coaches Poll remain the same as last week. Top-ranked Algoma wraps up the regular season on Thursday at home against No. 9 Kewaunee in the War on the Shore. No. 3 Mineral Point travels to No. 4 Cuba City on Thursday, the Pointers won their first match-up 55-43 and can clinch the SWAL outright with a win. Sixth-ranked Aquinas travels to D5 No. 2 Assumption on Thursday in a non-conference contest. No. 8 Regis took D3 No. 4 Hayward to overtime last night before falling 75-72. The Ramblers finish the regular season on Saturday against D5 No. 4 Loyal in a Cloverbelt Crossover. Auburndale joins the rankings for the first time this season, replacing Howards Grove. 

Division 5

Top-ranked Barneveld has stretched their winning streak to 31 games and finish off their regular season schedule at Albany on Thursday. Seventh-ranked Shullsburg can capture the Six River-West on Thursday, they host Belmont. Clayton joins the Division 5 WisSports.net Coaches Poll for the first time this season, while Riverdale drops out of the top 10.
