Kailee Van Zeeland of Wrightstown girls basketball has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of February 15 through 21. 

There were 3,478 votes this week with Van Zeeland receiving 1,456 total votes. Brianna Leahy of Shullsburg girls basketball finished second in the voting with 1,335 votes. 

Van Zeeland scored a game-high 26 points to help the Tigers knock off D3 No. 3 Freedom 75-65, ending their 20-game winning streak and bid for an undefeated record in the North Eastern.

Earlier in the week, Van Zeeland finished with 14 points in an overtime win over Appleton East and tallied 8 points in a blowout win over Waupaca. 

Kailee is averaging 13.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists pert game this season. 

Wrightstown is 20-2 overall and ranked No. 10 in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Tigers host Sheboygan Falls in a WIAA Division 3 Regional Semifinal on Friday.
