Here's some general information and frequently asked questions about the WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament. 

When is the tournament and when are the games? 
The tournament is held over three days, this Thursday through Saturday. Below is the schedule for the tournament:

6:35 p.m. - Division 4 Semifinals
     Regis (22-4) vs. Mineral Point (24-2)

Friday, March 11
9:05 a.m. - Division 5 Semifinals
     Clayton (26-1) vs. Barneveld (27-0)

Where is the state tournament held? 
All games of the Girls Basketball State Tournament are held at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Click here for a map of the Resch Center area. It is important to note the Spectator Guidelines in the Resch Center, as a number of items are prohibited. Further info on Spectator Guidelines can be found on a tab here.

How much are tickets and where can I get them? Ticket price for the tourney is $10 per session when purchased at the Resch Center. Tickets for the tournament will also be available for purchase online at the Ticket Star website:   www.ticketstaronline.com.  All-session, as well as individual session tickets are available for purchase online for $12 per session. A link is also provided on the WIAA website:  www.wiaawi.org. Call Ticket Star at 1-800-895-0071. 

Keep in mind that if you buy tickets from one of the schools you will be sitting with that school's section.  If you purchase tickets online or at the Resch Center you will be sitting in the general seating area, not with a particular school.

Where can I find coverage of the tournament? 
TV - The State Tournament will be televised live on WKOW-TV in Madison, WAOW-TV in Wausau, WXOW-TV in La Crosse, WQOW-TV in Eau Claire, WYOW-TV in Eagle River, WMOW-TV in Crandon, WMLW-TV in Milwaukee, KBJR-MY9 in Duluth/Superior and WCWF W-14 in Green Bay and the Fox Valley. The Wisconsin Division of Quincy Media, Inc., will produce the coverage. The championships will also be streamed on the statewide network station websites.

WKOW will be streaming the games live on their website:  wkowtv.com 

In addition, post-game media conferences will be shown live on the WIAA.tv portal of the NFHS Network immediately following each game.

RADIO - Yes, there are many radio stations that will carry the games.  Check your local listings.

THREE-POINT CHALLENGE: The WIAA will conduct the second 3-Point Challenge prior to Saturday’s championship games. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Resch Center. A ticket for the Division 3, 4 and 5 championship games session is required for admittance into the event. The top two players per division were selected for the contest based on the best 3-point field goal percentage with a minimum of 75 attempts during the regular season. Kylie Moe from Brodhead in Division 3 won the inaugural  3-Point Challenge by scoring 15 in the final round. The contestants representing Division 1 are senior Madie Kaelber of Kenosha Indian Trail; junior Caroline Busch from Brookfield Central, who also participated in the contest last year. Representing Division 2 are sophomore Shay Frederick of Hortonville and senior Abby Gerrits of Pewaukee. The Division 3 participants are sophomore Theresa Wichser of Brookfield Academy and senior Sara Winkel of Kiel. Division 4 will be represented by seniors Amira Erdmann of Crandon and Macenzie Kraemer of Wisconsin Heights; and the Division 5 contestants are freshman Shemera Williams of the Milwaukee Academy of Science and senior Devyn Schoonover of Loyal.

Where can I find information about the teams? 
Norbert Durst will be publishing preview articles this week so be sure to check WisSports.net. Be sure to check our Playoff Central page as well for loads of info. 

Where can I eat? 
The Resch Center has concessions, but many fans choose to venture out between games or sessions. There are numerous places to eat surrounding the Resch Center within walking or short driving distance.

Where can I park? 
There is considerable parking space across from the Resch Center at Lambeau Field. Parking is $6 per day and includes in-and-out privileges.
