Four player earned unanimous selection to highlight the 2016 WBCA Girls Basketball Division 2 All-State Team: Katie Gardner of Pius XI Catholic, Abby Gerrits of Pewaukee, Caitlyn Hibner of Portage, and Dani Rhodes of Waukesha West.

It is the third consecutive All-State selection for Gerrits, while Hibner, Karly Murphy of River Falls, and Mariah Szymanski of Pulaski are repeat picks from a year ago.

Gardner was a key reason Pius went 24-2 this year, winning the Woodland-West Conference outright. A 5-11 senior forward, she led the team with 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Gerrits continues the strong tradition at Pewaukee, earning WBCA All-State three consecutive years. A 5-10 forward committed to Northern Iowa, she averaged 16.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a senior.

Hibner was one of the top scorers in Division 2 this season, averaging 21.8 points per game for the Warriors. Committed to Green Bay, the 6-0 senior pulled down 6.3 rebounds and dished out 3 assists per game as well.

Rhodes has been one of the top three-point threats in the state for several years, connecting on 64 triples as a senior. It helped her score 21.1 points per game this season, though she'll play soccer at Wisconsin in college.

Murphy helped River Falls to the state tournament as a junior, and was again one of the most dominating players in the state her senior season. A 6-1 Green Bay commit, she averaged 22.7 points and 15.2 rebounds per game.

Szymanski led Pulaski to a 21-4 record this season and second place finish in the FRCC. The 5-6 senior is a three-time First Team All-Conference pick, averaging 18.4 points per game this season.

Chelsea Brackmann of New Berlin Eisenhower has helped the Lions to a 21-5 record heading into the Division 2 state tournament. The 6-2 Bradley commit averaged a team-best 14.2 points per game this season while leading the way in rebounds as well with 7.6 per contest.

Olivia Campbell of Notre Dame led the Tritons to an outright FRCC championship and trip to the WIAA Division 2 state tournament. A four-year varsity player heading to UW-Oshkosh, she averaged 13.3 points per game last season.

Hannah Hobson of Stoughton is a versatile 6-0 senior committed to Michigan Tech for next season. In helping the Vikings to an outright Badger-South Conference title, she averaged 11.7 points and 6 rebounds per game.

Autumn Ogden of Monona Grove signed with North Dakota State last fall, and in the winter helped the Silver Eagles to a 19-5 record. Along the way, she averaged 16.8 points per game to go with 8.5 rebounds per contest.

Tayla Stuttley of Onalaska has the Hilltoppers in the Division 2 state tournament for the first time, as the team has a 21-5 record. The 5-10 junior averages a team-best 17.4 points per game.
