Liam Schroeder of Marquette boys volleyball has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of September 5 through 11 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,928 votes this week; Schroeder collected 1,681votes while Jaydon Haag of Sparta boys soccer received 1,480 votes to finish second. 

Schroeder led the Hilltoppers win the New Berlin Invitational on Saturday, finishing with a team-high 35 kills.

Marquette defeated four teams ranked in the top 10, including No. 3 Germantown, 25-21, 25-11, in the championship match of the 16-team invite.
