Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Kimberly remains the unanimous #1 team in Division 1, as after much talk around the state all season, the Papermakers secured a 49th straight win in a 45-17 defeat of Appleton West, setting a new state record. Bay Port's narrow win over Notre Dame kept the Pirates in second, followed once again by Verona and Oconomowoc. Middleton lost a heart-breaker to Madison La Follette, and it caused the two-loss Cardinals to fall from 5th to out of the rankings. Also dropping out after losses were Wisconsin Rapids and Kenosha Indian Trail. newcomers this week are Franklin, Marquette, and Milwaukee King, who is undefeated and has not allowed a point this year.

Division 2

The top half of Division 2 did what they were supposed to, as Waunakee, Menasha, Brookfield Central, Homestead, and Menomonie make up the top five once again. The rest of the division was less successful. #6 Whitefish Bay, #7 Waukesha West, #9 Waukesha North, and #10 Greendale all went down, with just Waukesha West remaining in the rankings at #10 this week. Green Bay Southwest (#7), Wilmot (#8), and Waterford (#9) move back in to the poll.

Division 3

Some big changes at the top, as Notre Dame's narrow loss to Bay Port allowed Catholic Memorial to take over the #1 position this week, with the Tritons nestled right behind. Rice Lake and Pewaukee were other top five teams to fall as well, though they remain in the rankings this week. Monroe (#7 to #4) and Luxemburg-Casco (#8 to #5) made big jumps this week.

Division 4

Yet another division with shake-ups in the top five, defending Division 4 champion Osceola remains the #1 team. Columbus rallied for a 21-17 win over Lodi in a battle of top three Capitol-North programs, with Lodi dropping just one spot to 4th this week. Also going down was 5th-ranked Little Chute, who falls to 9th. West Salem and Kiel are new to this week's poll.

Division 5

Finally a division with some stability, as Division 5 was unchanged in the top eight. Amherst continues to be a heavy favorite in the voting, followed by Stanley-Boyd and Lancaster. Unity's first defeat of the year caused the Eagles to drop out.

Division 6

Perhaps the best and deepest division, D6 has seven unbeaten teams in the top ten, which is largely unchanged from last week. Saint Mary's Springs beat rival Winnebago Lutheran on Saturday and retains the top spot, with strong pushes coming from Darlington and Regis. Glenwood City fell for the first time and dropped out this week, with Marathon making its way back in at #10.

Division 7

Bangor is once again the leading vote-getter in the Division 7 WisSports.net Coaches Poll, followed by Pepin/Alma and Abbotsford. Speaking of Abbotsford, they topped #4 Loyal in a battle of Cloverwood unbeatens, as Loyal drops to 9th this week. Royall suffered its second loss of the year and fell out, replaced by Shullsburg.

8-Man Football

Abundant Life took care of business on Saturday, defeating 8th-ranked Wisconsin Heights to remain unbeaten and on top of the 8-Man Football poll. Luck solidified its 2nd place spot with a big win over Siren, who fell from 3rd to 6th. Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas had a very nice win over Sevastopol, allowing the co-op program to enter the rankings for the first time this season.
