WisSports.net Level 3 Player of the Week Nominees:

Max Alba, Franklin - Franklin posted some huge passing numbers in Level 3, taking full advantage of the mild weather. Junior quarterback Max Alba completed 32 of 47 passes for 432 yards with 5 touchdowns and no interceptions as the Sabers cruised by Marquette 45-23.

Elijah Alt, River Valley - Alt carried the load for the Blackhawks, who went up early on Lake Mills in a Division 4 game before having to rally in the third quarter and hold on at the end for a 33-27 victory. He accounted for all five touchdowns, throwing for a pair and running for three. He finished the game with 154 yards on 13 of 16 passing, rushing for 156 yards on 30 carries. It marks the first time River Valley has reached the state semi-finals.

Joey Dorgan, Stevens Point - Dorgan isn't a stranger to game-winning kicks, but usually it comes on the soccer field where he is the school's captain. Pulling double duty on the football team, his leg helped the Panthers knock off top-seeded and previously undefeated Bay Port 37-34. He was good from 28-yards on a field goal and connected on four extra points in the first three quarters, but saved his best for the final period. Dorgan made a pair of field goals in the final 5:19 of the game, including a game-winning 37-yarder with 14 seconds remaining.

Hunter Ellenburg, Bangor - In a rematch of last year's Division 7 state title game, Bangor once again ground out Pepin/Alma, posting an even bigger victory this time around. The Cardinals put a running clock on the Eagles, as the game ended 54-21. The team rushed for 339 yards and 7 touchdowns, with Ellenburg doing the bulk of the damage to the tune of 171 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 14 carries. He also caught a 26-yard pass in the victory.

Sam Santiago-Lloyd, Brookfield East - Guess who's back, back again. After being severely limited by a nagging leg injury early in the regular season, Santiago-Lloyd is getting healthier, and it is a scary proposition for opponents. In a 43-14 loss to Brookfield Central back in September, he was limited to just 11 yards on 5 rush attempts. In a Level 3 playoff rematch, Santiago-Lloyd carried the ball 28 times for 150 yards and all three Spartans touchdowns as B'East won 21-0. He also had 5 tackles and a sack in the game. In five October and November games, he's averaging 200 rushing yards per game with 12 touchdowns.
