Austin Martin of Random Lake wins 2017 WIAA Boys 3-Point Challenge

Senior Austin Martin of Random Lake won the 2017 WIAA Boys 3-Point Challenge at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday morning.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

It was an incredible display by the participants, including Martin, who hit 17 in the first round, 18 in the semi-finals, and 18 in the finals. He defeated defending champion Keaton Stremick of Waukesha South (17) in the finals. Bryce Te Kulve of Luxemburg-Casco and Neal Cerveny of Gresham were also in the semi-finals.

Other competitors included Zach Borden of Kenosha Bradford, Eric Carl of Kaukauna, Caleb Gracyalny Clinton, Colton Groholski of Amherst, Reid Larson of Fennimore, and Nicholas Brozek of Fall River.
