Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 3 through 9. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: April 3-9

Jack Herkert, Verona boys track & field: Herkert was named the male athlete of the meet at the UW-Whitewater Indoor Championships on Saturday. Herkert finished first in the high jump (6 feet, 6 inches), second in the 55-meter hurdles (7.80), third in the long jump (21 feet, 11 inches), and sixth in the triple jump (43 feet, 5 inches). 

Makayla Jackson, Milwaukee King girls track & field: Jackson was named the female athlete of the meet at the UW-Whitewater Indoor Championships. Jackson finished first in the 55-meter dash (7.05), first in the long jump (18 feet, 8 inches), and ran of leg of the winning 4x200 meter relay (1:43.37). 

Lily Pomplun, Marinette softball: Pomplun connected on a three-run home run in the top of the seventh to lift the Marines past Oconto Falls 9-7 on Thursday. Pomplun finished the game with 2 home runs and 5 RBI. 

Levi Schaller, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran baseball: Schaller pitched a 5-inning no-hitter and struck of 15 of the 16 hitters he faces in the Lancers 14-0 win over Augusta on Thursday. 

Rachel Wagner, Mayville girls soccer: Wagner netted 14 goals in four wins last week. She finished with 5 goals a and 2 assists in a 7-1 win over Waupun, netted 5 goals and added an assist in a 12-0 win over Wayland Academy, scored 2 goals and added a 2 assists in the Cardinals 4-0 win over Lake Mills, and scored 2 goals in a 2-0 victory against St. Mary's Springs.
